Portrait photography
I never really look at portraits as just pictures of people. For me, they are more like small encounters — moments where someone allows themselves to be seen, even if only for a second.
This page gathers portraits of friends, people I met, people I worked with, and people who somehow stayed in my memory. Some images are quiet, some are playful, some are more direct, and some are almost hidden. I am interested in that space between posing and not posing, between confidence and uncertainty, between the face someone gives to the world and the small moment when something more private appears.
Most of these photographs were taken intuitively. I was not trying to make anyone look perfect. I was trying to catch presence, softness, distance, humour, vulnerability, or simply the atmosphere around them.
For me, portraiture is not about control. It is about trust, timing, and the strange intimacy of looking.
