À mon avis — Photography
À mon avis is a collection of photographs where I am less interested in literal representation and more interested in mood, texture, atmosphere, and emotional tension.
Photography, for me, often begins with a feeling before it becomes an image. I am drawn to light, shadow, unusual perspectives, and the quiet moments where reality starts to feel slightly abstract. Sometimes the image is simple, but something underneath it feels unsettled, intimate, or difficult to explain.
In these works, I use contrast, monochromatic tones, and stillness to create a sense of distance and reflection. The photographs are not only about what is seen, but about what is felt — isolation, serenity, memory, and the passing of time.
À mon avis means “in my opinion.” I like that title because these photographs are not trying to explain the world objectively. They are fragments of how I see it — personal, imperfect, emotional, and sometimes almost silent.
Like my paintings, poems, and self-portraits, this work is part of an ongoing conversation with myself and with the spaces around me. It is my way of looking at the ordinary until it becomes strange, poetic, or quietly alive.
